Gate Sword [DARK] [Level 6] [Warrior / Effect]
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by paying 1000 life points. This card is unaffected by Spell Cards. Halve the ATK and DEF of a monster that battles this card, including in the Graveyard or banished zone.
ATK 1800 DEF 1950My reasoning for this is that I've never seen a card which changes the values of monsters outside of the field, except for Cost Down which changes levels in the hand. This card is a normal monster in the video game it appeared in, with a description on how it cuts things clean in half which inspires this effect I thought it should have to make up for the low stats.
Panther Girl [EARTH] [Level 6] [Beast-Warrior / Effect]
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by discarding 1 Beast or Warrior-type monster. If this card battles a WIND monster, it gains 500 ATK during the damage step only.
ATK 1950 DEF 1700This card was called "Leopard Girl" in international versions of the game, but I felt it would be better for her to be given a more faithful translation. She too was quite weak for her level by modern standards, so I gave her an easier summon effect. As for the ATK gain, that is based on how the game she was featured in used a different attribute system, and this card was a "forest" attribute in said game.
Talons of Shurilane [DARK] [Level 6] [Fiend / Effect]
If this card is targeted for an attack, you can target that monster; negate the attack and banish this card until the End Phase. When this card returns to the field by its own effect; destroy the monster targeted by this effect.
ATK 2100 DEF 2050
The last of the game-exclusives, this card was also a normal monster and again seemed too weak to be any good, so I gave it an effect based on its card description of being a lethal mirage. It also felt like an unusual effect.
Runic Hand [LIGHT] [Level 3] [Warrior / Effect]
If this card battles an opponent's monster; banish this card and the opponent's monster face-down before damage calculation.
ATK 500 DEF 1400This card is quite similar to D.D. Warrior lady, however the key difference is that it banishes face down, which is effectively permanent. This makes it a good way of removing tough opponent's monsters for good, but its weak stats make up for this effect.
Venom Caduceus [DARK] [Level 3] [Reptile / Effect]
If this card is sent from the hand or field to the Graveyard: Special Summon it during the End Phase, then place 2 Venom Counters on 1 monster on the field.
ATK 0 DEF 0
Venom Handler [DARK] [Level 5] [Reptile / Effect]
If you control a "Venom" monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributing. Once per turn, you can send 1 Reptile-type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard: place 2 Venom Counters on 1 monster on the field.
ATK 2000 DEF 1300
Venom Basilisk [DARK] [Rank 4] [Reptile / Xyz / Effect]
3 level 4 "Venom" monsters
"Venom Swamp" cannot be destroyed by card effects. Also, new Field Spell Cards cannot be activated, except "Venom Swamp". Once per turn, you can detach 2 Xyz Material from this card and target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; place 2 Venom Counters on it.
ATK 1500 DEF 1900Venom needs some more strength, so I threw in some in this set.
Antimetallizard [DARK] [Rank 3] [Reptile / Xyz / Effect[
You can detach 1 Xyz Material to target 1 banished Reptile-Type monster and 1 monster on the field; Special Summon the first target and banish the second target dace-down.
ATK 2200 DEF 2400Continuing with the theme of permanent banishing, Antimetallizard contributes to the concept while also providing support for Reptiles, making it useful in decks like Aliens and Venom.
Mysterious Ice Shakoki [SPELL | Continuous]
Flip all face-down monsters on the field face-up and place 2 Ice Counters on them. Each time your opponent summons a monster(s), place 2 Ice Counters on them. While this card is face-up, monsters with an Ice Counter cannot attack or change their battle position. During your End Phases, pay 900 life points or destroy this card. When this card is destroyed except by its own effect: destroy all monsters with Ice Counters. This card is more specific to the whole Ice archetype, providing a Swords effect at the cost of 900 life points a turn. Its effect also makes Cold Enchanter more playable as well. Naturally, it has the loophole of not affecting monsters set by the opponent, nor being able to destroy anything if it is destroyed by not paying life points.
Leap of Faith [SPELL | Normal]
Declare 1 type of card (Monster/Spell/Trap) and reveal the top 5 cards of your Deck: Add all cards of the declared type to your hand, and add all other revealed cards to your opponent's hand. You can only activate 1 "Leap of Faith" per turn.
This card is very situational and can easily backfire, but if used with cards like "Fruits of Kozaky's Studies" and similar cards it can be a useful tool. Additionally it has the bonus benefit of working with "Mind Crush" and similar such cards.
Toon Shotfun [SPELL | Equip]
Equip only to a Toon Monster: it gains 500 ATK. If it would be destroyed by its own effect; destroy this card instead.
This card is simple, and a good support card to protect toons from the destruction of Toon World.
Refound Sanctuary [SPELL | Quick-Play]
Activate only during your opponent's turn, except during the End Phase. Both players draw until they have 5 cards in their hand. During your next End Phase, you take 1500 damage.
This is effectively an anime "Card of Sanctity", but with a punishment for using it.
