| The Sealbreakers
A power like you've never seen before emerges before you, manifesting itself once again in front of mortal eyes. Sealed away for eternity, these ancient deities locked away their power long ago for the continuation of life on Earth. Their secret was well-kept, for none knew of their isolated whereabouts or their immense power. However, with the impending doom upon us, they have once again been awoken. You've seen the Egyptian Gods and shuddered with fear, you've witnessed the Nordic Gods and fled without a second thought, and now, you'll be exposed to an even greater trinity - the Sealed Gods.- GAMEPLAY:
Now that we're getting down to business, I may as well start off by discussing exactly what this new archetype of mine does. It is, essentially, an elaborately constructed set of cards that uses "Seal" Continuous Spell Cards to their advantage. While active, these "Seals" provide the player positive effects, and when sent to the Graveyard, these cards are equally useful. In addition, a trio of these "Seals", called "Divine Seals", can be used in conjunction with other "Seals" to Special Summon XYZ Monsters from your Extra Deck - more specifically, to Special Summon "Sealed" XYZ Monsters. The basic mechanic with the "Divine Seals" is that once the "Sealed" monster is Summoned, the "Divine Seal" that was activated and another "Seal" you control get attached to the monster as XYZ Material.
The "Sealed" monsters themselves are worth explaining in detail. Once Special Summoned by the effect of a "Divine Seal" (incidentally, these cards CANNOT be XYZ Summoned), they gain XYZ Material. However, while they possess XYZ Material, their effects are not enabled and they cannot attack - in other words, they become rank 10 tokens with 0 ATK and 0 DEF. However, once the XYZ Materials are removed, their true abilities show, and they gain a whopping 2500 ATK and DEF.
However, the question arises: How do I remove XYZ Materials from these "Sealed" monsters? The answer lies in the "Sealbreaker" monster cards. These cards all proc special effects by sending "Seal" cards to the Graveyard - this includes those used as XYZ Material.
- MECHANICS:
The more elaborate mechanics of this archetype are profound and extremely powerful. For instance, the "Sealbreaker" monsters can be used to proc the effects of the "Seal" cards that activate when they are sent to the Graveyard. In addition, these monsters are essential to removing the XYZ Material from the "Sealed" cards that are Summoned. There is great swarm potential if one has enough monsters in their hand, and further, the Deck has several ways to allow multiple Normal Summons. There isn't much else to say, but I'm sure that as you look at the cards, you'll be able to figure out many ways to use these cards.
- THE "SEALBREAKER" MONSTER CARDS:
Sealbreaker Arjuna:- Effect:
You can detach 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from a face-up XYZ monster you control or send 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to Special Summon this card from your hand; then, destroy 1 card on the field.
Sealbreaker Kaishav:- Effect:
Once per turn, you can detach 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from a face-up XYZ monster you control or send 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to destroy 1 card on the field. When this card is destroyed and would be sent to the Graveyard: banish it, and if you do, during your next turn after this card's destruction, you can Normal Summon one additional time.
Sealbreaker Na'Vi:- Effect:
Once per turn, you can detach 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from a face-up XYZ monster you control or send 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to reveal the top card of your Deck. Add it to your hand; then, if it was a "Seal" Continuous Spell Card you revealed, draw 1 extra card.
Sealbreaker Rakshasa:- Effect:
Once per turn, you can detach 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from a face-up XYZ monster you control or send 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to add 1 "Sealbreaker" monster or "Seal" Continuous Spell from your Deck to your hand.
Sealbreaker Saavariya:- Effect:
Once per turn, you can detach 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from a face-up XYZ monster you control or send 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to target 1 "Sealbreaker" monster in your hand or Graveyard; Special Summon it.
Sealbreaker Ravana:- Effect:
Once per turn, you can detach 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from a face-up XYZ monster you control or send 1 "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your hand or side of the field to the Graveyard to banish 1 card on the field. If this card is banished by its own effect, shuffle all "Seal" Continuous Spell Cards in your Graveyard into your Deck; then, for each card shuffled into to the Deck by this card's effect, draw 1 card (max. 4). Each player can only use this effect of "Sealbreaker Ravana" once per Duel.
- THE "SEAL" CONTINUOUS SPELL CARDS:
Seal of Balance, Suriya- Effect:
Once per turn, if your opponent controls more monsters than you control, you can Special Summon 1 "Sealbreaker" monster from your hand. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, and your opponent controls more monsters than you control, destroy monsters on your opponent's side of the field until both players control an equal number of monsters.
Seal of Demise, Trishula- Effect:
Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a "Seal" Continuous Spell Card is sent to the Graveyard, destroy 1 card on both sides of the field. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, target 1 card in your opponent's hand; banish it.
Seal of Passion, Durga- Effect:
Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a card on the field is destroyed, you can destroy 1 other card on the field. When this card is sent to the Graveyard by the effect of a "Sealbreaker" monster, destroy 1 card on the field, and if it was a monster that was destroyed, inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK.
Seal of Preemptive Knowledge, Sarasvati- Effect:
During your Draw Phase, reveal the top 2 cards of your Deck. Then, add 1 of those cards to your hand and send the other card to the bottom of your Deck. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.
Seal of Proven Knowledge, Sarasvati- Effect:
When a card would be sent to the bottom of your Deck, add it to your hand instead. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, draw 2 cards.
Seal of Rebirth, Sai- Effect:
When you Summon a "Sealbreaker" monster, add 1 Seal Counter onto this card. You can remove 2 Seal Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 "Sealbreaker" monster from your Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon 1 "Sealbreaker" monster from your Graveyard.
Seal of Sanctity, Parvati- Effect:
Once per turn, when a face-up monster you control would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed (Battle Damage is applied normally). When this card is sent to the Graveyard, target 1 monster you control; it cannot be destroyed by card effects or battle until your opponent's End Phase.
- THE "SACRED SEAL" FIELD SPELL:
Sacred Seal of the Trinity- Effect:
This card is always treated as a Continuous Spell Card. You can activate the following effects depending on how many different "Sealed" monsters you control: 1+: Once per turn, you can add 1 "Sealbreaker" monster or "Seal" Continuous Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. 2+: Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Sealbreaker" monster from your Deck or Graveyard. 3: Once per turn, you can destroy cards on the field up to the number of "Seal" Continuous Spell Cards in your Graveyard.
- THE "DIVINE SEAL" CONTINUOUS SPELL CARDS:
Divine Seal of the Creator, Brahma- Effect:
Target one other face-up "Seal" Continuous Spell Card; then, Special Summon 1 "Sealed Creator: Brahma" from your Extra Deck and attach this card and the targeted card to it as XYZ Material.
Divine Seal of the Ruler, Vishnu- Effect:
Target one other face-up "Seal" Continuous Spell Card; then, Special Summon 1 "Sealed Ruler: Vishnu" from your Extra Deck and attach this card and the targeted card to it as XYZ Material.
Divine Seal of the Destroyer, Shiva- Effect:
Target one other face-up "Seal" Continuous Spell Card; then, Special Summon 1 "Sealed Destroyer: Shiva" from your Extra Deck and attach this card and the targeted card to it as XYZ Material.
- THE "SEALED" XYZ MONSTERS (AKA THE TRINITY OF GODS):
Sealed Creator: Brahma- Effect:
Cannot be XYZ Summoned. Cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Divine Seal of the Creator, Brahma." While this card has XYZ Material(s) attached to it, it cannot attack. While this card has no XYZ Material(s) attached to it, it gains the following effect:
- This card gains 2500 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Sealbreaker" monster from your hand or Deck. If you control a face-up "Seal" Continuous Spell Card, you can Normal Summon one additional time each turn.
Sealed Ruler: Vishnu- Effect:
Cannot be XYZ Summoned. Cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Divine Seal of the Ruler, Vishnu." While this card has XYZ Material(s) attached to it, it cannot attack. While this card has no XYZ Material(s) attached to it, it gains the following effect:
- This card gains 2500 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can negate the activation of a card effect and destroy that card. If you control a face-up "Seal" Continuous Spell Card, once per turn, you can add 1 card with "Seal" in its name from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand.
Sealed Destroyer: Shiva- Effect:
Cannot be XYZ Summoned. Cannot be Special Summoned except by the effect of "Divine Seal of the Ruler, Vishnu." While this card has XYZ Material(s) attached to it, it cannot attack. While this card has no XYZ Material(s) attached to it, it gains the following effect:
- This card gains 2500 ATK and DEF. Once per turn, you can send 1 card on the field to the Graveyard. If you control a face-up "Seal" Continuous Spell Card, once per turn, you can banish 1 card on the field or in either player's Graveyard.
