| The general idea is the effect would up the number of cards allowed in a targeted zone by x amount or lower the number of allowed cards in a zone by x amount in the case of lowering the number if it hits 0 the zone cannot be used also the top most card(s) is destroyed until the number of cards in the zone is as low as the limit. Here's a couple of cards using this. Zone Construction Field Continuous Spell During your standby phase target one zone on the field and increase the number of cards allowed in that zone by 1 while this card is on the field. (In zones with more than one card in them the top most card is the one hit by effects that target and attacks by monsters, also in the case of monsters only the top most monster can attack while all other cards can still use their effects.) (Zones affected by this effect increase from the limit they are at so a zone can be affected multiple times.) If this card is removed from the field of flipped face down the cards per zone limits on each zone return to normal and all extra cards under the top most ones are removed from the field. Zone Destruction Field Continuous Spell During your standby phase target one zone on the field and decrease the number of cards allowed in that zone by 1 while this card is on the field. (If a zone's card limit decreases below the number of cards in that zone remove from the field cards in that zone from the top down until the number of cards in it is equal to the limit, if that number is 0 all cards in that zone are removed and the zone is no longer usable while this card is on the field.) Might have gone a bit overboard but they both show the point I was trying to make and are better examples than me trying to explain things. |

| its certainly an interesting idea but can you expain it a bit more so i can if its possible will the effects
like xyz card by overlaying to have more than 1 card per zone or each time a card is played in that zone the count is decreased and when it reaches 0 that zone cant be used |

| i think what he means is that it restricts how many cards are in a specific zone, so its pretty much anti-xyz, if it hits 2 you can't xyz unless you use the xyz that attach itself to a xyz with no materials. it's a good idea but from what number should it count down from? |

| if it's possible then, they should be changed so they restrict the number of xyz materials a xyz can have, but that would delete the locking up zone thing. so i guess it's up to stormwing, if that's what he was trying to say |

| if it was the second one i said you could just set a variable to each zone then when that var reaches 0 disable the zone but the overlay option at the moment cant be done |

| lol looks like me and leaving out information tends to do this. The general idea is that currently the number of any given card allowed in a zone, not counting overlays for cards like the XYZs is one. These two cards or their effects at least would change that number allowing more cards than what current rules let to be in a zone. Like say you use the top card's effect on a monster zone once or more. Now it can have two or more separate monsters in it including two XYZs with their overlays. Overlays of any kind don't count toward the number of cards in a zone just the active cards that are still able to do thing. In the case or monster zones the two monsters would exist in the same zone while only the top most would be able to attack but the ones under it could still use their effects. In the case of Spell/Trap zones you basically just have more spell/trap cards in the zone all able to use their effects. In both cases only the top most card can be hit by targeting effects or attacks. In the other one that decreases the number of cards allowed in a zone it is the same idea as the first but dropping the limit and removing extra cards from the zone. Not sure if I explained it right. Basically this idea plays around with a little known but common sense rule of how many cards can be active in a zone with some limits. |
